Free Mods with the 24 valve...

Im new to the 24 valves. I used to have a 12 valave and there were plenty "free" mods to gain power. I know that there are not things such as fuel plates to grind andwhat not with the 24 valve, but are there any free mods to get some power, besides the intake and exhaust which i have dont already?

well I can turn my fuel box off which leaves 275's exhaust and intake...very little smoke. I do have the boost elbow as well. It is very easy to control the smoke from 275's The power increase is great though...very smooth power and you can really feel the extra oomph when towing

Would you suggest those as one of the first mods, I already have a decent sized clutch (mcloud street twin)...I am in the process of saving for a fass

I would recomend Gauges as a first mod on these trucks fuel, EGT and boost, after that then I would get somethings to keep the EGT in check like a scotty2 air filter and some exhaust. The the FASS or some type of pusher pump and THEN you could start your bombs...The 275's would be a good first mod, or a chip like the EZ. Together thet work awesome and it really doesnt matter in which order you get them. The stock clutch should be OK with the

gauges
intake
exhaust
fuel pump
ez with boost elbow
rv275's

and that would be a really nice set up...actaully I ran that set up for a while and was really really happy with it. It is a true towing beast with that set up

RV275's will add about 40 HP to your SO engine, with no serious smoke. Stock air can take you to 350+ hp (some say much higher) with just some holes drilled in bottom of filter housing to let more in.

Gauges, Vulcan or FASS, Intake, and a Edge Comp(SKIP THE EZ). That should keep you happy for a while and you'll have some nice power. Then when your wallet fills back up throw some injectors in there. Also check around the classified because you can usually find some really good deals.

Happy BOMBing.

Oh yeah and as far as free mods go.....ummm.... take the silencer ring out, cut up your air box, cut the muffler off and put in a piece of pipe, and if you want it louder then cut the resonator off. Other than that all you can do is wash it...
