Question FP Gauge won't work!

After finding this website and reading all about the problems with LPs ..etc, I put EGT, pyro and FP pillar mounted gauges in my truck (01 2500 HO, 6-speed, 128K). EGT and Pyro work great...on my 3rd FP gauge and it's now disconnected. Mech can't seem to get it to work. I know there's trucks out there with working FP gauges! The used 2 different kinds of isolators, regular lines and metallic braided lines. Still nothing. Checked FP at the pump and is good. (They replaced the LP the first time I came to the shop) Any body have any ideas?

Absolutely. Plumb it straight to the guage.

Run a needle valve in line with the fuel pressure guage so if it ever were to start to seep fuel, you could close it off instantly.

The engineer guy at Isspro told me he couldn't ever remember one leaking anyway, but the needle valve is only a couple of bucks and a nice piece of mind.

Where are you tapping into the fuel system?

If you are going into the test port on the VP44, you either need a fitting that will depress the valve in there,
or remove the valve completely.

I am using a FP gauge from geno's garage. It is an ispro and came with a "puck" isolator. Did you fill the gauge side with antifreeze? if you dont it will never work. All it is basically is a diaphram. As FP builds it transfers to the filter. Then to your pump. I put a t in after the filter but before the CP3. Once pressure is built, the isolator transfers pressure to the gauge using the antifreeze. NO DIESEL IN MY CAB!!!!!!

Thanks for the info. I'll give this to the mechanic and hopefully, it'll do the trick!
