Fitting Tires & Wheels

Greetings, I have an 2002 Ram 2500 w/Cummins and looking to get some wheels and tires. My question is will a set of Mickey Thompson Classic II 16x10" fitted with 305R70 16 tires fit the stock truck without rubbing in the front? I think these wheels have a 4 7/16" back space. Also trying to find pictures of truck with different sized wheel/tire combinations to see what I like the looks of best. Thanks for any help.

The stock wheel backspacing is in the neighborhood of 7 inches, so those wheels with only 4 7/16's will stick out about 2-3 inches more than the stock rims.

Because they stick out, you probably won't have any rubbing on the control arms, you might have some rubbing on the inside rear of the fender whilst turning.

I had rubbing with 315's on my Weld 16x10's with the same backspacing, even with a 2inch leveling kit on the front.

Here's some pics of mine stock, with the 2inch spacer and new wheels/tires, and with 4.5 inch lift and new tires/wheels.

https://www.dieseltruckresource.com/....php?album=149

phox

I have 295/75/16 (33.4 inches tall) mounted on M/T Classic II. Phox is right, they stick out about 3.5-4 inches but, I like that look 8) No rub at all.

I've got 305/70's on 16x10 Eagles. I had a slight rub on stock suspension when turning left (I think?). After the 2.5" coils, I actually rubbed when turning either direction, but it was because of my mudflaps. For pics of this combo, check out my member's photo section "Here"
BTW, this was a 33 Swamper combo, same size as the 305's I put on last week.
andy
