Finally got new tires

It took almost slamming into a tree in the rain to get me off of my lazy butt to go and get new tires. I bought a set of 315/75/16 Trailcutter's. They are made by Jetzon and come highly recommended by my buddy AggiePhil and the guy at Tire Works in Austin. So far I'm quite happy with them. They ride a LOT smoother than my nittos ever did and are fairly quiet on the highway given their tread design. The only time I can hear them hum is when I turn the radio off and let off the pedal and just coast and even then it's just a faint hum. I've put a little over a 100 highway miles on them today and they worked great. They weren't squirrely or anything. Not to bad of a price either.

Like I said, video to follow. The only reason I didn't do it yesterday is because I ran out of time and I didn't have enough time to do it today. Don't worry though. I'm pretty open this weekend.

I like those!! I wonder if I can find them in Missouri?? Are they cheaper than Nitto's and all the other big named tires?? Let me know cause I'm not too far off from needing tires.

I paid $720 mounted and balanced which comes out to $180/tire. That's in a 315/75/16 though. Go online to http://www.jetzontire.com/ and you should be able to find a dealer near you.

No comments from the peanut gallery about my tranny.

I had a shot at set of those when i bought my 285's , i could get them at cost , someone had ordered them in , then not taken them, if i had rims that they would go on , and clearance , i would have bought them.

My roommate has those on his Duramax. Seem to be a good tire. Good traction and good price.

No problems to report here Doc. They ride smooth as glass. I do however have the centramatic balancers coming in tomorrow or the next day and I will be installing those and removing the wheel weights from the tires. But for the 100 miles that I drove home today they rode nice and smooth. I'll let you know how much weight was required to balance them later.
