Finally Done With IP Install
Finally Done With IP Install
After 2 years of no power, horrible fuel mileage and fighting with getting this pump right it is up and running. Never thought I'd live to be old enough to see this day. I totally forgot what these trucks are like when they are right. Got paranoid when I first headed down the road, at idle no smoke but with a little peddle the white smoke was a rollin, after a few miles it turned to black and then went away completely. I also added a set of RV275's to this install. Instead of running almost 10 pounds of boost just to go down the highway now I am around 2 pounds. Can't wait to hook up a trailer. After I pulled the old injectors and realized that 2 of them were totally clogged, not a single hole open I realized why the lack of power. I was running a 4 banger diesel for a car. All those sensors changed and cleaned, but I guess it was for the better, would have had to do it eventually. I still have a problem with the Comp, it doesn't even turn on right now and I don't care. I'l figure it out in the daylight. I hooked the Gray wire to the Blue Chip Cover and the ground to the battery. BUT MY TRUCK RUNS AND RIGHT NOW THAT'S ENOUGH FOR ME TO BE HAPPY ABOUT.
It still pulled what ever I hooked up to it was just a dog doin it. I tried every thing that was suggested short of changing the IP. Kept holding off on it because of price and the old never did throw any codes. I'm hoping that some of the other folks on here complaining of low power take heed of my problems cause nobody ever mentioned clogged injectors to me. I am also looking for reasons why they clogged up so bad so it doesn't happen again. I used several different kinds of injector cleaner through the miles but it evidentally didn't help.
