Sorry for the little capslock outburst there... but I just cant' get enough of thise . I'm putting my exhaust together and I got the downpipe on it... and well I just couldnt' help going for a drive. You guys can see where it exits... would it be stupid for me to drive it on the highway tomorrow on about a 45 minute drive with the downpipe? Mainly I just don't want to burn anything up or catch anything on fire... but I want to drive it (I'm sure it'll quiet down some when I finish it off).

 

I watched for 2.5 minutes and didn't hear the pedal go to the floor once. Weak.

That was extremely boring... Did your turbo ever spool? I think my full exhaust is louder than that.

 

I can't access the vid, but no, there's no problem with driving it with the downpipe only. Just check to make sure there's nothing in the immediate vicinity of the exit that could get burned or melted. I've been driving mine like that for awhile until I have time to swap the new turbo and exhaust in.

I love the way that 12cm housing sounds out a straight pipe.

A nice burnout or some black smoke or something would have made the video a bit more interesting though

 

I used to blow the mid pipe out the the downpipe all the time, the truck never sounds meaner. especially coming off of full boost
