FASS system

Just curious as to how those with the FASS systems are enjoying them. Any problems? Mileage on them? Any high powered trucks running them? I'm hoping this pump is the answer to my prayers of finding a reliable pump. My PE pump is running just fine, I'm just looking for maybe a longer term (pray to god permanent) solution to my fuel pump problems.

So far so good. About 1500 miles on it. It maintains at least 15psi always. Time will tell about reliability. Tim

Ditto on that Tim. I've had mine on for a few weeks now. ~2000 miles later and it's still working. Make sure you read the instructions on the system... I missed the pipe sealant on the engine line and now have to go back and do it. Other than my mistakes, it's a beautiful system. Running Mach 6's & a PM3 comp, I get 16.5 PSI idle, 16 PSI cruise and 15.5 PSI WOT. The only bad thing is that the return plumbs into the tank vent hose, meaning you can't fuel up with the engine running. Once the weather is warmer, I'll move the return line to top of the tank, hopefully letting me fuel up with the engine on. I got the chance to meet Brad in person last saturday and there are still no known failures on our trucks. However, he said there's always a chance of manufacturing defects and he'd be ready for the ribbing he'd get on the diesel truck sites.

Joefarmer,
It's a bit off-subject, but what did you think of Brad's rig?

Have you guys noticed any performance gains?
I am rat-holing some money now for this system,
and will install as soon as current LP flinches.
Just curious if you've noticed any power gains or any other added
bonus besides reliability.

Heh. I think that is a LOT of chrome on the green truck. It's probably a bit overkill for my tastes, but very well done. I wish I would have snapped some pics of it. The best part was that when Brad left, he had it pulling the 20+ foot gooseneck trailer! It sure isn't a trailer queen! From what I'm told, it's for sale & would make a great truck for someone with those chrome twins.

There was a post over on the Dodgetruckworld site about some guy throwing his FASS in the dumpster..

I don't know if the complaints are valid about the system as I don't have alot of info on it. Take a boo and see what you think.

Fass is coming off Today!

I would throw it away too if I'd rammed a log underneath my truck into it! His complaint is valid. I have a 1/4" steel plate waiting to go behind and 3/4 around the filter setup, much like a skid plate. I'll post some pics once I'm done with it.
