FASS system
FASS system
I asked this in an earlier thread but didnt get any hits. Heres my problem. Last August I replaced the lift pump and vp44, so they are still under warranty. Well, I just got my gauges installed today, I havent got the truck back b/c the shop is putting in a traction bar. Well, the guy, which I know fairly well, told me that my fuel pressure was at 5psi idle and 3psi when you get on it. Then went right on to say thats low and I should get it checked out by the place that put the pumps in. So my question is. Would the FASS system take care of my problems? If so what do I need, is the system all I need or would I have to get a Vulcan big line kit or something to the likes of that? Any help will be appreciated.
Yes the FASS would take care of that. You do not need a big line kit but it would not hurt. If I had a 24v I would have a FASS and run -8 line to the inj pump. No banjos to slow anything down.
The complete system comes with everything you need to replace the entire fuel system from the tank to the injection pump. IMO its a good system but yes you can feed your injection pump the necessary FP with out spending that much money. So you can piece a system together and make it work or just buy one and put it on, your choice
