FASS questions

I see many people have successfully installed the FASS kit. I am working on this right now, and it seems to me that the recommended mounting point exposes the filters somewhat. Is this right??? Does anyone have any pictures of it on their truck?
Also, how do I know if I have to in tank pump that will screw me on this deal??? Or did they not do it on 99's?

thanks

I didnt mount mine where it says . I have a reg. cab and mounted it really close to the cab ( actually you can barely see it through the crack between the bed and cab) You can just see the very bottom of the filters on mine. Sorry i dont have and pics though.

Here below is a link to a thread on the FASS 150/90-1010 @ 45psi on my 1998 12v.Hope it shows the mounting your asking about,if not let me know and I will go and take a better shot for you.

If you wondering about the vunerability due to adverse weather,I know many owners who run this pump in our area all winter long and have had zero issues with the pump, its location or it gelling up.Most of the guys I know all use a good additive in the winter which is more of a preventive measure than a needed measure.myself,I know no one who has ever had anything from the road hit the filter and pump to cause a failure........Andy
