FASS question

My kit came with 1 3/8" x 1/4" bolts to mount the flat bracket to the pump assembly. They are too long. 1" would have been fine. I had to use 3 washers to get them to sinch down so I could drive my truck. Will be picking up shorter bolts today. Anybody else run into this?

It's been so long since I put mine on I don't remember if my bolts were too long. I would say if everthing is tight, then it would be fine to drive until you get some shorter ones.

About 4 months ago, we had an error in our mounting package assembly book. Wrong bolt was listed. After about 4 dealers calling me with this issue, i found the prob and it was changed. I’m guessing your unit was made mid to early late last year before we implemented this change. I can get you bolts if you wish if you have your dealer call me with your contact info and SN. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I assume it is on the plate on the side of the unit. I will get the number when I get a chance. Midwest assured me I would be getting the newest pump design, but this isn't the first time they have not provided correct info if I don't have it.
