Is a FASS pump really the best option?

I have injectors and a hx-40 just waiting to be installed. I want to put a new pump in first and was just wondering if a FASS pump is the best option?

A fuel pressure gage is your best 1st option.

I think the FASS II is a good set up, but I bought mine before the Walbro craze hit. Walbro seems to be wroking fine for most guys also. Fass has a 4 year warranty for about the same money.

I really cant see spending that much money. right now i use a holley black 140GPH pump with the stock pump and filter and its great, all for 140$. I have an inline prefilter/seporator to put in as well, but that was a free take off.

No - There a lot of people running LP's other than the FASS ie.... Holley Blue, Aeromotive, and even duel stock LP's. The fass comes ready to install with printed instructions. If you're not comfortable rigging your own fuel system then go with a FASS, IHMO.

Honestly I think the FASS is overated, and overpriced, but thats just my opinion. It is a good pump, but for $600.... Gimme a cam and a 12 valve mechanical pump..

Or a mitusa pump
A big line kit from Vulcanperformance and a stock lp is working great for me if I could only get these pumps to last

My 95 gpm FASS has been flawless since it was installed. I don't use diesel from questionable, low volume outlets, so I went with the pump only option which is competitively priced and uses the factory filter, separator and heater. The kit is pretty well all-inclusive and the installation is pretty straight foreword and does not require and lot of hacking and rerouting lines. You will need to add the larger line between the filter and VP44 to take full advantage of the increased flow and pressure.

For the price of a FA$$ I'd hope it worked flawlessly. For that price it should fix me breakfast as well.

Where can I find more info on this MITUSA setup?

Mine was less than $380 shipped. 4 year, 400,000 mile warranty. With as many problems LP cause that is cheap insurance & piece of mind if you ask me.

OK...some are getitng things mixed up here a bit.....

FASS

MSRP: $639.00 for most 2nd Gen Applications

HPFP

MSRP: $449.00 for most 2nd Gen Applications

Comes with a standard 1 year wnty. If you send in your included wnty paperwork that is included with the kit, you can extend it another 5 years for 6 years total.

Good luck! Only place I ever heard them sold was Here. From his web site... looks like he switched to selling the FASS/HPFP systems.

I bgt my FASS before the HPFP came out. I do love it... but if buying today would look closely at the HPFP. Same motor/flow rate as the FASS... which is the reason I went with this company in the first place. Both units are top quality materials & workmanship, and their performance is second to none.

You can find them here:

I believe that "TIMINVA" has/sells them as well.
