Aftermarket Intake manifold
Do the aftermarket Intake manifolds(air horn's) do anything for EGT's/performance. I was looking at the one ATS has, and it is $370! Im honestly thinking about making my own if they actually do anything for EGT's. Is there any reason its aluminum, or will regular pipe such as exhaust tubing work fine? Thats what the Swanker is made of right? Seems to me the Banks twin ram would be the one with the most benifit since it has a way to get the air a lot closer to the back cylinders.

From what I've seen, no! It might make a minute difference because of a slight increase in intake manifold "area" but not enough to notice!
That being said, I have a Twin Ram I bought, and never installed. It has been shown to even out EGT's across all the cylinders. I was gonna install it on the 98, but now I'm thinking of building my own setup!
