I just got my fass pump I ordered a 95 and they sent me a 150. Is it going to give to much pressure or will it be ok. And can i run it through the stock filter

I am not sure, but it should run fine. You have the option of both pumps for all trucks, so I wouldn't think it would matter if you run a 150 instead of a 95. There are a lot of guys that run it through their stock filter housing. If you are unsure, call the vendor you bought it from or call FASS and talk to a rep.

You will be just fine with installing the 150. Its also a bonus to you, just in case you ever get more toys to add more power you will be able to deliver all the fuel you will need and not lose the pressure to cause your injection pump to go out. And dont worry about cheating the vendor you purchased it from, the cost is the same for a 95 or 150.

Yes run it through the stock filter and off you go.

Good luck!

You can remove the spring in the check valve and cut a coil off of it since it will be pushing about 22-25 psi and in a stock VP44 the piston isnt set-up to flow that much you could push the diaphram forward in turn throwing the 0216 code and breaking the pump...

A good setting is around 15-17 psi which BOSCH recommends, I cut one full coil of the spring to achieve this, but doulbe check with DPP before you do this...

I run the 150....because at the time, that was all they offered. Pressure will be more consistant than the 95 GPH....i get 14.5 PSI and can pull it down to 13.5 PSI at WOT (My spring has probaly weaken a bit over time...i usally see the 150's @ 17 PSI).....thats it. I dont see the pressure being up around 20...i have only seen one unit do that and then it edventually came back down to around 15ish. I would not cut the spring.....the will void any wnty if DPP catches that. (make sure you send in your wnty card!!!!) YOU can get a weaker spring to lower pressure if needed for a few bucks. The only issue you may have with the 150 GPH is cavitation due to your fuel pick-up not being able to handle the volume of fuel.....but this is rare. Mine stalled out a few times after I installed it, after a hard WOT run.....but that was 2 years ago...no issue since....run it and have fun!

The 150 version can have some cavtation issues in the tank with the OEM fuel pickup. When a customer of our desires the 150 unit we also recommend changing the fuel pickup for proper fueling. The 95 GPH unit will support all the HP the VP can make with no problems.....

See Diesel Dans comments above. You can get a weaker spring very cheaply if you wish.
20 psi does not seem to be too high from what others say that have been running in the 20-25 psi range for over a yr.
