FASS mounting, thinking of welding bracket
I'm installing my new FASS on signature truck. Has anyone welded the mounting bracket to the bed support or the cab support? I don't have the tools here to drill a straight hole that close to the frame rail.
I thought about welding a few spots around the bracket and putting in two of the three bolts for gee whiz.. Any thoughts..

Weld up a bracket and then find some existing fram rail holes to bolt in to or use existing frame rail mounts from other items. My LP is next to the xfer case on the frame rail. Make sure you mount it high enough so it won't get knocked off if off-road.

We use one of our Raptor relocation brackets to use as the attachment point. This way we have a "no drill" system that simply sandwiches the frame. And we attach the factory FASS brackets to that.
It does quiet the pump as well. We felt the cab support was causing resonance throughout the cab and bed. This seems to be a more solid mounting point and is divorced from the body structure.

Thanx for the ideas. I didn't have to much material to fab anything so I put it on the bed mount. I welded it solid and it seems to do ok. The pump is really quiet though. I don't see what everyone is squeeking about..
