I have 3 trucks with AFE mega canons all 3 trucks had a light dirt film in the intake and edge of turbo. If the trucks drove mostly on pavement I might of left the AFEs on, paper filters better for high dirt enviroments. My 1st gens all have the stock paper filters and one of them is at 700K I dont think AFEs would of let it run that long.my.02

What is right next to your air filter? a huge wastegate actuator? a vacuum canister?

Did you notice any difference in the sound of the turbo after switching? Louder, quieter?

I'm running a BHAF now, but was going to replace it with a AFE Race filter soon.
