I recieved my new spring kit from Rip yesterday, and installed it today. Went from 11.5 at idle to over 15 at idle. I never see the needle move less than 15 at any time. Thanks Rip.

I installed my new spring kit on Sunday also. Now I'm at 20.5 idle, 20 cruising at 60mph, and have not seen it go below 16-17 WOT with TST on #6.
Amazing what a little spring can do ! There was a noticeable difference between the new and original springs too.

Nope, no hard starting as of yet. I left it sit unplugged since driving it Monday, and it started right up this morning....temp around 30*F.

Slimchase, the new spring kit came from the manufacturer/distributor DPP. Even though I didn't order the pump from them, the warranty card goes back to them, so I think that's why they sent the replacement spring kit.

I called today to see what the hold up on the pump was and I was told that the spring was to blame. It is getting shipped out today with the spring. So I guess I will have to make the lift pump last another couple of days. I figure even if i loose all pressure I still have my 2 old pumps in the tool box. The old pumps were not dead yet but were not putting out enough to keep me happy. A new VP is not in my budget.
