F.A.S.S. II Pump ?'s

Well as luck would have it I got my tax return in and was all pumped on my way to get some new terra grapplers and it happened. Went to pass some little car and looked over and saw 2 psi. let off and it only went to 5. pulled over and killed it. Bumped the starter and listened to the pump run. And let me tell you it sounded bad. So needless to say all my eating raman noodles and drinking cheepo beer so I could get new tires failed.(I am in college, yall know how it is) Well now that is out of the way what kind of F.P. should I be expecting from the Fass pump? It is the 95 gph, I don't have any major mods so this one should work right? I just got the pump not the whole setup with the filters and stuff. This should keep at least 10 psi at wot right.

You'll be fine. You should see a steady 12 psi at least.

95 gph pump is fine to well over 400 hp per dpp

Its a nice pump and should work fine for you. Mine only idles around 11.5 psi and goes to 8psi at wot. I am waiting on an upgraded spring now to raise the pressures some more. I also upgraded my lines from the filter housing to the vp44 with all -6 lines and fittings. that didn't do much for the pressure at idle, but it holds better at wot.

I have the same pressures as JStull even with my TST turned up to level 6 (have'nt gone above that yet). So it'll go below 10, but 8psi + is where it bottoms out.
My new spring already came from DPP, but Ronda told me it was not designed to increase pressure, but merely to last a long time. We'll see. I plan on installing it Sunday or Monday.
I'm very satisfied with the FASSII either way.

slimechase, If you have a 90* drill, it'll make the bracket install easier
Also recommend not using the quick connect at the tank that comes with the kit. Just put your hose over the tank outlet and use two hose clamps.

As I understand it, the FASS II attaches to the frame ahead of the tank. Do you have to have an operating lift pump in the stock position? Do you just bypass the lift pump position with additional fuel line?

DPG,

Yes, the FASS pump mounts under the bed next to the tank. No, you do not have a factory lift pump at all. its gone. I left my fuel supply line in place on the frame rail but it does nothing now. the return line still functions the same.

you get new -6 lines and fittings up to your factory filter housing with the pump kit. if you want to replace the banjos and lines from the filter to the vp44, that is up to you. you can buy the fittings right off of the summit racing website. With a short bed or regular cab truck, you will have enough fuel line left over for the filter to vp44 line upgrade. if you have a longbed extended cab, you will need more fuel line to do the -6 lines all the way to the vp44.

sammy 198 I got the kit from a guy about 2 years ago. It works great. I will get the info to you on monday I have to get the card from work.

Thanks for all the info on the pump, I hope the thing will be here by the middle of the week. I have a trip down to Austin I need to do on sat. It will be nice to not have to worry about the F.P. on the trip.
