EZ COMP

I would like some input on this add on. Can I put this on my truck with out any other mods? The old ball and chain just doesn't see things the way I do. So I only have $700 to spend. Thanks,
Scooter ??? ???

Re:EZ COMP

Yes, but I would recommend not hooking up the pump wire and your Comp will act as an EZ.
With just the Comp no pump wire you will have 65 extra hp and will be able to get away without gauges.

But I do suggest buying gauges, and probably a BHAF air filter.
Your stock clutch should be ok with just the 65 extra hp.

--Justin

Re:EZ COMP

Scooter,
There is a lot of good information regarding bombing but please do your research carefully. Your 2002 high output responds a little differently to electronic enhancements and injectors then do the standard output engine. In fact, hooking up the "EZ" side of a Edge Comp will net you less horsepower then it will on a standard engine. What I'm saying is that with an HO the EZ will not make the 65 horsepower increase as advertised. I've installed two major fueling boxes on 2002's and a '98.5 in the past week and there is a diffence in engine hp and response between the HO's and standard ETC's though all were happy. There are folks that are happy with only electronic "bombs" on an HO but if you have limited funds and wish to stay with a stock clutch I recommend a good set of aftermarket injectors. The HO's
respond better then advertised to enhanced injectors and for a given power range the torque is moved higher within the rpm range. This allows more power to be had without slipping your stock clutch. HTH's, Larry
