Dumb question,but what is better quality in ss exhaust 409 or 309? I think i have the numbers right.

 

I think T-304 is the better quality.

But I'm sure someone else will chime in and give you the low-down.

Along this line, does anyone know what the Banks Monster Exhaust is made of? Banks never replied to my email.

The T-409 stainelss systems are a little better quality than the stock material the the late modal exhaust is made from. T-304 is much more expensive because it contains a lot of nickel (check the precious metal stocks) and chromium. This is also the material content that makes it non magnetic and also so corrosion resistant. T-409 will turn brown gray and get some corrosion spots on it especuially depending on where you live and if they use salt and or other chemicals on the road in the winter. t-304 is just danr near never going to give you any corrosion problems.

The information I have been given in thepast is that their systems are made of T-409, stuff changes pretty fast anymore but that is the past info.
