I HAVE A 2001, DOES THE EXHAUST HAVE TO HAVE BACK PRESURE? WHAT I DID WAS TOOK OF THE MUFFLER AND RESENATOR OF, AND REPLACED IT WITH 3 1/2 " PIPE BECAUSE MY MUFFLER RUSTED OFF ON THE TAIL PIPE SIDE IS THAT OK

I agree.

If it were me, I would tear off the entire system (if part is has already rusted to pieces, the rest will probably die sooner than later). Go with 4" turbo to tail, and if you really want some sound, get rid of the stock intake box!

Exhaust Pressure

ramcamping,

The guys are right consider going with a replacement "performance" system and you'll like the sound as well as the lowered EGT's so that you can add some extra horses thru an Edge etc. Check our www.dieselperformanceparts.com or call us if you need any info.
