Espar to run cab blower

Have Espar D5 in 2001.5 with the 7 day timer its all hooked up, works like it should, but I dont have the cab-blower hooked up to come on,my instructions dont tell me how to hook it up, could someone tell me what wires to connect at the timer to operate a relay,(which I think I need) and to what wire on the cab-blower do i connect to, a diagram would be nice,

I just connected it directly to the blower motor relay on the engine bays relay/fuse box.

I am going off memory here so bare with me if my colors are off.

-On the Main Harness (not the 7 day timer harness) you take PIN# 3 and run a lead to a Relay terminal 86. Pin #3 activates power when the heater reach's 100 degrees F.

-Terminal 87 goes to a 20amp fuse then to the battery +

-Terminal 87a goes to an "orange" wire (It is orange on the fuse block side, and blue on the blower motor side) You depin or cut it from the fuse block side and tie straight into 87a

-Terminal 85 is always ground

-Terminal 30 goes to the blue wire on the Blower motor, the black wire on the blower motor is ground.

***Things to note****

LEAVE FAN ON LOW, as even on low it draws about 6amps, the espar heater on boost only draws 2amps, anything more then low fan switch and you come out in an hour and you will have 2 dead batteries. There is away to add a resistor to prevent accidently leaving it on high or med ect... But I don't have that in my memory, I would have to actually look it up and I am kinda lazy today.

This will NOT work for people with auto climate controlled trucks, those are much more fun...

The "Orange" wire is the only one I am not certain on, it might be a "black and yellow"... Regardless if you get to the harness where it plugs into the blue wire that goes to the fan blower motor, it is the one on the other side of the plug, best way is to depin them both solder an extension on the blue run it to 30, depin the "orange" solder an extension and run it to 87a.

A 20 amp relay is plenty.

I've left my fan on high many times, even in -25 to -35 weather, never had a dead battery.

Depending on what your wiring from the Espar looks like, its an easy connection. On mine, there is a black and black/violet wire coming from the espar relay. There is a 14ga green wire coming out of the PDC to the fan. Probe the wire to the fan relay in the PDC to make sure its the right one. Cut it, solder the two espar wires to each end (I believe black is from the wire at the PDC, black/violet is to the fan, will confirm in the afternoon) and it should be good to go. I'll double check my espar manual in the afternoon and correct myself if needed.
