Espar D5 Heater - Blower/Fan Motor ?'s
I have an Espar heater installed on my 2500. I would like to know from the guys who run this kit with it hooked to the blower/Fan motor the following:
1. Does it drain the batteries until a certain voltage and then cut out, or does it drain until the batts are dead ?
2. How do you set the system up to operate ? Do you set the blower prior to shutdown and then it blows at the last speed set ?
Overall impressions of having the blower hooked up... Yes i would do it again or no, never again ?
Any other Espar insights ?

Can only guess. I have a Webasto. There are kinda the same. Most diesel heaters are suppose to turn off @ a preset voltage so there is still enough power to start the engine. As for the heater motor running. I didnt bother installing the harness that runs the in cab heater. Im only concerned about having the engine warm & being to start. With in mins or less have heat blowing from the vents. If you cant find any real answer. You could call Polar heating/ref in edmonton.

I posted several responses to this thread at the Cummins Forum
with some answers to these questions. If you have to learn to not
flatten your battery,it's no big deal.
Search your initial post on the CF and it's there,
Espar totally ...totally rocks.No worrys.
