I got my outside electric fans back on today, installed a crankscase breather filter, and evac and recharged the A/C system.

I picked up alonger boost line so I can hook the big turbo up to the old gauge and use the old line to hook up the 100 PSI boost gauge tomorrow.

I ran w/o the valet switch today for the first time and even with the pressure release valves set at 50 it hit 55 psi fast and only at 3/4 throttle. It is fast kind of scared me She's got 215 miles on her so far

Here are some I've noticed...

1) boost starts right where it did with just the PDR HX-40 and climbs fast than any turbo I have had to date

2) the intake temps is at least 40 deg cooler in all spectrums

3) The clutch is a little grabby but getting smoother every shift

4) the turbo noise out of the tail pipe is SWEEEEET

Nowel had tried for couple of years to get me to go with Twins and now that I've got it done he's not here to see it. Hopefully he is looking down on me with a big smile....

Twins

Drawson,

I agree totaly that spoolup is just as fast with the PDR twins as it is with just a single HX40. Every time I drive my truck it still suprises me at the quickness of spool up and how it never seams to stop pulling. Also good looking job on the twins set up.

Don, it's too bad you did tell me about them ARB head studs two months earlier

I installed the 100 lb boost gauge last night and ran a line from the HT3B to the old 60 PSI gauge. At 50 psi total boost the big turbo is making 27 psi and even with the valet switch on the big turbo runs about 1/2 of the total boost. I hit 30 psi this morning passing a power stroke and the big turbo was just under 15 psi.

Maybe is was all the time with out the truck, but I think I could live in it for a while. I am really having some fun now!!

so when you are driving, can you hear the two turbos separate from eachother, like you hear one spool up first, then the second one, or does it just sound like one big turbo?

I noticed the little holes you drilled in the plastic cowl over
on the passenger side behind the air filter. Do you think
that has helped the EGT's??

Thanks!

John, I drill them when I still had the old Scotty 1 filter and could hear the turbo still sucking air after I got out of the truck after shut down.

LanceD there is just a nice turbo wine under the hood and out the tail pipe

John I did see some EGT drop with the old Scotty 1. I drilled the holes in the summer when the temps where 95-100 deg. It also help with a problem I was having running down the road w/ the windows close and no fan on. I had sealed the back side of the scotty off so all the air came through the cowl and I was getting some pressure related problems inside the cab. My ears would pop like I was changing altitude, Before the holes I would have to crack a window to get that to go away.
