Engine Temp with Fueling Boxes
Engine Temp with Fueling Boxes
I had a BullyDog box (VanAAken Performance Tech). With this box (which plugs into the Fuel pump control module) I never really noticed much change in engine temps with moderate smoke. I have now installed a Power Edge Comp (wire not punched). With just the Edge I see a little more smoke and gain in power but the engine temp fluctuates a little more, My Pyro meter hasn't changed much in movement (Post Turbo). I finally got the nerve to stack the two boxes. With this I have lot more smoke, seems to have gained a little power but My engine temp moves more above normal and then cools down ok when taking it easy. (Not as much change in the Pyro) I believe the increase in fueling would move the Pyro but I'm thinking the timing change could be effecting my engine temps more than I would like. Do ya'll see much change in engine temps with your boxes, especially stacked? Also with the comp wire hooked up would I see more engine temps along with Exhaust temps?

Re:Engine Temp with Fueling Boxes
The super-advanced timing on your truck is hurting efficiency a great deal. You can also grenade your truck. I recommend undoing this stack ASAP.
