Anybody running the +60hp, or +110hp VP44 from EEP? I need to change mine out, and I just want to know the opinions from you guys here, is it worth it? If I buy one it will probably be the 110 VP, I don't know if they offer the 60hp one anymore? Do they do anything to them in house, or are these Schide units? Any helpful info would be good. Thanks.

 

I'm not certain, and someone please correct me if I am wrong, but I was under the impression that there are only a couple of places in the country that actually "build" the HRVP; Industrial Injection and Scheid's. So far, knock on wood, my Industrial Injection SHOVP44 has been great. I saw lots of people that said the Scheid HRVP loped at idle which I did not want. Scheid's pump is supposed to make more power than II, but I was willing to give up some HP for better street manners.

from what i know these are schied pumps . yes they do have some idle issues but its not like they sit there and cam like having a big cam in a gasser. the just idle were they want to when they come down of a hard pull. this is what i have seen from the ones i have been around . some times the idle normal and some times the idle alittle high . but as far as im see theres not really a big problem with that . these are ment for making big power . now if you have big injecters and big connecter tubes yes they will cam alot . but if you live by the go big or go home motto then these are the pumps for you .
