Ok, well I just installed my 191 dvs and I am wondering what egt temp I can push to the limit in a quarter mile. What is the max just for a few seconds? I have my fuel plate a tad forward of stock position and I am getting to 1550 about in 3rd gear with a few seconds left I am assuming.

personally, at 1400, i'm out of the coal bucket. But I hear stories of higher temps than that by several on this site. I only hit those kind of temps flat out at max throttle top gear around 110 mph. But I don't have the DV's or 370's yet. Hell I don't even have the hybrid. IMO scratching 1500 is playing with fire...excuse the pun!!

I hit 1500 on my way to 100mph. No More left, need bigger charger!

I usually jump out at about 1300-1400. I bet my pistons are lighter now anyways, I don't need to help them out anymore
