EGT - ??? advice needed
EGT - ??? advice needed
OK.. I currently have an EZ, DDII, PDRHX35 - 14 housing and 4in exhaust. My EGTs are about 800 deg @ 65ish 1600rpm ish - boost=4-5psi. Is this normal? I am think of upgrading the EZ to a Comp. On say setting 1-3 how bad will my EGTs be??

Thanks
Re:EGT - ??? advice needed
Starting on 3 you'll probably be able to bury the EGT gauge on hard runs. Level 1 on the Comp is the same as an EZ, 60HP. It goes up by about 15HP for every settings, You also have sub-level on the comp(timing) for smoke control. On the upper levels of the comp you will get the EGT's up there.

Re:EGT - ??? advice needed
Put my ScottyII in this weekend. ;D Wow, egt's are down at least 200 degrees. WOT on a back road heading up a slight incline, couldn't get egt's over 600 (I am post turbo). Cut the hole.
