why are my EGT so high<br> pulling my trailer(29ft fivr) I have a 35 40 hybrid turbro, it should be lower : : : :

Could be a few reasons. What kind of intake are you running? Have you cleaned it lately? Is your 4# exhaust mandrel bent or not? Straight piped? Bigger injectors=more fuel=higher egt (turbo has nothing to do with it.) Also, your right foot has a huge impact on your egts (at least mine does ;D)<br>A lot of people on this site have been discussing aftermarket intakes like the BHAF (do a search on those letters) and the Scotty II to help reduce egts.<br>Just a thought.

What are your EGTs, pre or post turbo? What is your boost when you are having high EGTs? What is your gross combined weight when you are towing? What altitude and percent grade are you at when you note the high EGTs?
