EDM Injectors
Re:EDM Injectors
i have close colleagues in the injector business? ???
That's intresting stuff man.
We got a guy at a bosch shop who does our Power Stroke injectors, and wants to do Dodges too. However, i'm just asking questions, that's all.

Very nice packaging and all arrived in one piece! I am happy with the look of them and they seem to be VERY high quality injectors. Nice looking units! Now onto the install ;D
[/quote]

Jamie, you mean they actually showed up in Canada?
Im surprided they made it there after the first attempt through customs. You would think they were 6 small top secret nuclear weapons the way the customs and FED-EX acted.

Or perhaps....... they are top secret ???

Don, i'm just asking questions, chill out.

Huh ??? Chill out, whatcha mean chill out? I answered all your questions the best I could. No friction on this side of the fence.
Don~
edit- you could always go look at burn patterns on piston tops/bowls LMAO!!!

Re:EDM Injectors

I'm in the market don, so that's why I'm asking such questions.
Do you do this testing? Surly someone who has a full time job doesnt have time to do this? Do you pay someone to have it done? Do you talk to people who have had this done?
Some of the computer models we run take literally 10 or more hours to complete with just a single crankshaft rotation
Andrew
on edit - why would I want to do the research on burn patterns when I buy injectors, isn't that the makers job?
Re:EDM Injectors
I thought you had indentified a person to build your injectors already? Maybe I missed something?
Yes I/we do extensive testing. Literally hundreds of dyno runs, normal driving, towing, oil testing, flow testing, tempertature testing, etc, etc. Yes, I have owned the same small business for 14 years, we would be considered full time and then some, its very busy around here

As for the testing you do, I am wanting to know more about the equipment used in testing with these "computer models"? I know you pratical have done enough dyno runs to have paid for dyno yourself.
Do you just run the injector in the test, or the whole engine, or...?
I dont know why in the world anyone would look at burn patterns on a pistons top to gather information. Makes no sense at all to me.....just struck me funny when I saw it on another site.
Re:EDM Injectors
Now you got me all fowled up- I though it was simple, buy big injectors, rock and roll.
So I start looking into, it seems like there are both high and low swirl heads for 12v and 24v motors? ???

So for a really good inejctor to match, you need to build at least 4 different designs!! Just to match stock parts.

What was that about burn patterns on the piston? is that important? Is that the difference between the angle on the 300s, vs the 370s?
