Edge turbo timer makes doors unlock

On my Juice with Attitude I have been taking advantage of the built in turbo timer but when I get back to my truck the doors are unlocked when I left it locked. I sat and waited to see what is going on and everytime the truck shuts off the doors automatically unlock. Is their any way to make it so the doors don't automatically unlock when the engine shuts off? Thanks, Eric

Something must be wrong - mine works fine.

Hot motor, turn off key (motor still running), get out of truck, lock doors, close doors, walk away, truck turns off. My Doors are still locked....

Mine does it also. When your not using the timer and you shut the truck off dont the doors unlock. Mine does. I start the truck the doors lock. I shut the truck off they unlock. I would think its a normal feature of the truck. I imagine theres a way to turn that feature off, but I dont know how.

AllanP, you are correct in the fact that this is a normal feature. I'm just wondering if anybody knows how to disable this feature. Thanks, Eric

Since we are on the topic, how do you bypass the timer when you don't want it? I thought that if you set the e-brake it was not supposed to count down but the setting the e-brake on mine has no effect.

Once the key is removed from the ignition just hit the go pedal and the truck turns off. Eric

There is a way to turn off the "auto locks" when the motor is running. I read it somewhere - but that feature was already turned off in my truck so I didn't try to enable it becasue it annoys me to have teh doors automaticly lock after I start the motor. So thats probably whats causing it.

I've tried using the switch on the door and using the remote and either way it unlocks the doors. I swear I've read how to unable this feature somewhere, I just can't seem to find it. Somebody has to know. Thanks, Eric

Found this with a search on here.

1. close all doors
2. place key in ign and cycle key off to on 4 times. Don't start engine.
3. press driver side power door lock switch to lock the doors within 30 seconds
4. you'll hear a single chime. Auto door lock is deactivated.
5. to enable, follow above steps.

7. To reactivate, repeat the above steps.

You can have the lock feture shut off, but you have to do it with a DRB3.
Only places around here with a DRB3 is the dealer.

My cooldown timer shuts off by hitting the brake pedal.
