Edge EZ MPG??

Just wondering what fuel economy everyone is getting with the Edge EZ? I realize that a lot depends on how you drive.
Also, does the chip in any way alter the mpg readout on the overhead console.

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

I am getting between 14.4 and 14.6 normal around town driving. The overhead console matches my calculations at fillup. I haven't pulled my trailer any distance yet so I don't know that figure.

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

Was getting 19 mpg on average combined city and highway before installation and my computer was pretty accurate. I get 19 with the edge but my computer reads 1-2 mpg high.

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

I get 16-17 around town, 20 unloaded on the highway, and 9-11 towing my 10K 5th wheel.

My truck doesn't have the overhead computer.

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

My mpg went up about 1mpg after I added the ez. I get 18-19 around town with mixed hwy and city traffic, all hwy I get 20-22 empty depending on conditions. It did make my readout run about 2mpg high. I run mine on setting 2. On setting 1 I noticed an mpg drop. Surely due to my right foot. Switching it to the middle setting my mileage came back and then some yet I still have the power when I need it.

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

The EZ for the 2003 is a different animal. It bumps fuel rail pressure, and fools the MAP sensor. Generally it helps economy 1-2 mpg, however the overhead computer usually shows slightly better mpg figures.

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

My mileage remained the same but the overhead is now off by about +2 mpg. However, the ;D on my face is much bigger!

Re:Edge EZ MPG??

ran an ez on my 01, and got +2 on my overhead console and didn't gain much on actual MPG. oh who needs the overhead anways, you can always trust a calculator right?
