Edge EZ

Just got my Edge EZ from Ebay and put it on in about 10 minutes and WOW what a difference.
I cannot believe the difference it makes. Under throttle the truck pushes me back in the seat.
I highly recommend this unit, i got mine from Ebay for about $280 used .
If you are in the market for more power check out this unit.

Great comment!

Every time I get the itch for a 3rd Generation truck...not real often....I turn off my box and drive for a day. Turning it back on is like Christmas anytime you want it!!!!!!!!

Just got my edge ez last night and installed it, let it on the lowest setting first took it out on wet roads. I have good rain tires but even with that on the lowest setting i was still braking loose into fourth gear. I took the cover off today and put it on the highest setting didnt notice a whole lot of difference from the first but just more smoke which im not complaining about. But the whole thing over all is wow big difference. I didnt take the time to put the power elbow on last night and i was wondering if it really does make any difference or not?

The settings adjust the initial amount of fuel. Level 3 lots of smoke, The little book tells about it. The boost elbow gave me about 6 psi without the box on. 21 to 27. Lots of defueling going on to lower the boost back.

If you don't install the boost elbow, it will cause an overboost code to be set (check engine light to come on).

You don't have to have the boost elbow installed. The EZ acts as a boost fooler just like your comp. It tricks the computer into thinking that there's only 20 psi of boost when there's really more. If you were to unhook the EZ and then install the power elbow, then yes, you will set an over boost code. But with the EZ installed, your not gonna set an overboost code.

To get the extra air to go with the fuel...the answer is yes. There are several methods available.

You really don't even need the extra boost. But it does help with EGT's some. All you'll have to do is go and get a turnbuckle and clamp the wastegate shut.

I tried a turnbuckle and saw 34 lbs of boost. So I did it with two concentric springs and a smaller turnbuckle and set mine to 28 lbs. They say the HY-35 is good for that without starting to create to much heat. SNOKING

I ran 35 out of my HY the entire time I had the comp. Never saw EGT's over 1000* pre turbo no matter what I did. That's with 4" straight pipe and a BHAF. Heck, I even had it up to 40 a couple of times. I back the turnbuckle off so it would open at about 30-35.
