EDGE EZ

Is $475.00 a fair price for a new EZ? This is what they are asking. I think he will go lower, maybe.

Re:EDGE EZ

Since they are selling for more than 75 dollars below minimum retail, I would say that's a good price for a new EZ. If they go lower, then they're just asking for trouble in the long run, but if you can get one for that, go for it.

Re:EDGE EZ

Is that a refurbished unit? I saw someone selling some that cheap but they were factory rebuilds w/ warranty..

Re:EDGE EZ

The refurbs can be sold for less I believe, but I'm not really sure. I know of some vendors selling them new for that price, which really kills the rest of us. I don't mean to whine and moan about it, but it kind of strikes a nerve with me.

Re:EDGE EZ

I'm saving for my EZ, and when I've got the piggy-bank full, I'll buy it here. There something to be said for supporting the site that gives me so much in education and entertainment.

DeWain

Re:EDGE EZ

I have a couple for sale on the classifieds that are new not referb's. I just got shafted by some buddies on them and have been sitting on them for a while.

Re:EDGE EZ

I don't like the price dumping on the Edges either. I understand customers wanting to get a good deal and all that, nothing wrong with that, but some kind of minimum of profit is necessary for any and all vendors to stay in business... got the rent, electricity, water, etc. to pay...
I'm not sure I'd want a "refurbished" unit anyway, unless it has the same warranty as a new one.

Some things are better "refurbished"

Anything that's going to go bad during the first few years has already gone bad and been fixed.
Probably even caught a few things that were close to going bad.

Less things that could still go wrong.

I think electronics fit under this category.

phox

Re:EDGE EZ

Found out this is for a new unit. Told me cost on a refurb was $50.00 less. If he could get one.

Re:EDGE EZ

If he's selling it for that, I would take it. Everyone always wants the lowest price. I personally hope that Edge finds out about it though because he is basically screwing the legit vendors out there.

Re:EDGE EZ

Pardon my ignorance but is the dealer going to find out if you are using an Edge EZ after you remove it? I'm planning of getting one. Thanks.

Re:EDGE EZ

You can remove it before it goes in the shop. It takes about two minutes at most. I don't think there is any way to tell it has been on there. Use a turnbuckle or an adjustable "boost elbow" so you can take it off or turn it down when you take the EZ off and not get a boost code. Take a look at Turbo-Master and look around. They had a sale on mine last year and got it for $425. They also support this site!
