has anybody had any problems with the edge comp chip? because im thinking on putting one ion my truck

 

No problems with mine.

 

when i had mine, sometimes it would freeze up. Just all the lights would stay on, either at startup or shutdown. Just had to cycle the key to reset it. Other than that, it was great, to much for my stock clutch above level three.

 

Comp runs great, but you'll need and better clutch to really get all the power.

 

i just mailed mine back to utah the buttons stopped working on it, had it for 2 years,other than that the power was really good.

I've ran my edge comp for about 35K with numerous 5x5 bursts and usaully run with box on 2x4 around town for the best mileage. Never had a problem yet. My pump, however is a reman that went in 5k before the comp so who knows how long a really old one will last.

 

Sometimes my buttons stick. I cant turn it up or down or off. It still has the power of the setting it is on, butt just will not move. I leave it alone for a minute and it will start working again. Does this to me at lest once a month. Other than that I like it but wish I would have gotten the drag comp.

 

i just installed 1 on my truck with stock tranny i ran it for 2 days without the wire tap because of ip warranty but i could hold back no more i taped it and let me tell you wow i have stock tranny and i have done a lot of playing around on level 5x5 and and now 3rd gear in tranny is bout gone so the tranny dont like it but the power is great i got 315's on it and it runs great after i get a new tranny iam going with some mach 2.5 and phs 62/12 maybe but yea great power!!

 

I'd slowly start to waive bye bye to your tranny. If you start now, atleast you'll bid a good goodbye. (Comp is great, I love mine, but my tranny hates it!)

 

I havnt had any problems with mine, but I dont have the wire tapped yet. (due to no fuel press. gauge and havnt gotten the holley blue installed yet) But I do reccomend it, nice Strong power.. Like these fellas said your trans wont like it..
