Question Edge BB Turbo is it any good?

The prices are coming down on those Turbonetics made Edge Rebadged Jammer Ball Bearing Turbos. My question is, do they perform? Edge claims they're good for 550 HP. If that is true then it should be the perfect turbo for me. My biggest concern is that nobody is running one. Are they junk? Do the ceramic ball bearings break up or something. Any info on this turbo would be appreciated.

I have seen these turbos on trucks with 500HP however I have no firsthand knowlage of them. My suggestion is to call a Turbonetics dealer. I don't know if theres one closer to you but the one up here is Dynomite diesel, give them a call and see if Ross can steer you in the right direction.

Why? I want to know more? I've done all the research that I could find/do on the net and it seems that no one knows anything about these turbos.

Ron, is that the one you let someone up North borrow and he blew it to pieces in minutes?

They are best in a twin setup. Use one to drive to the gas station. Use the other to drive home.

Most of the turbonetics are too high, like $2k+.

You could try the garrett *cough* stage 3! *cough*

Oh, so the edge turbo is weak! Now I understand... it is a durability issue not performance.

Seat of the pants.. maybe even 700 HP. On a dyno, I'd guess 450 HP. The other day when I said I would beat any production truck if I had more air and maybe even an exotic "lambo" or two "if i ran them over first" meaning they don't and can't physically race.

The Edge Jammer unit is honestly designed for a 375hp or less application. Its a nice towing charger but not going to withstand any kind of serious feuling or abuse. Turbonetics builds nice units, and offer lots of options to play with too, but as said before, are quite pricey.
