On the Edge

My "new" (used) Edge EZ showed up in the mail today. If can come up with something around the office to secure the box, I'll slap it on in the parking lot after work and give it a try on the way home. I have gauges, but other than that, everything else is stock.... I'm going to start out on setting #3 and see if that puts as on my face.

See if you can find some of that stick on velcro. That is what comes with it new.
It will make the HP.
Now when you get that tranny upgraded you will be able to get it all to the ground. I noticed a lot of seat of the pants dyno with mine.
Did it come with the exhaust elbow? If so don’t forget to put it in.
Enjoy

I've got an auto and therefore the the HY35 with the hardline. Since it was used, it didn't come with either the boost elbow or the hardline restrictor. I'll have to run without the restrictor until I can either do the .22 shell or turnbuckle thing. Next major mod will be tranny work, but that will be a while. I might try an intake or 4" exhaust if the EGT get out of hand.

Forgot about the 01 using the HY35. I was lucky the 00 were still using the HX35s.
Good luck.

Noticable difference. I plugged it in the parking lot, cycled the grids and fired it up. I immediately noticed that it sounded different...... the "rattle" had a different tone to it. Took it real easy making my way to the highway and by then it was getting warmed up so I stepped on it getting on the highway. Quite noticable difference.

Once it was fully warmed up, I took off from a dead stop and it quickly wrapped up to 3k, shifted, hit 3k again, shifted into 3rd and launched. It's feels like 1st and 2nd gears come and go quickly and when it's wound up in 2nd, it's like a stretched rubber-band. When it hits 3rd, it's like one end of the rubber-band was let go and it literally launches.... really sets me back in the seat. EGT's build a lot quicker too.... I'd like to tweek the turbo to blow some more air through it to see if that'll lower the EGT's down a little.

Overall, I think I like it....... after only 20 miles.

Good to hear. Keep us up to date with it, cause I'm about to do the same thing to my rig.
