E-brakes

I have been reading on this site for a few weeks now, you guys are pretty impressive with all your smarts, learned about the 3 cyc. start the other day and went and had in enabled yesterday, worked this morning, sweet. I am looking to get a brake form everything I gather BD is about the best form what I read, what are any of you running, if you are how well do you like it? Any insite would be helpful.

Re:E-brakes

My new one is ordered with the Jacobs E Brake. Check with Cummins to see if there are any warranty voiding issues with any other makes of E Brake.

Re:E-brakes

I am finishing up an article right now on the Pac-Brake product. It will show installation and give an overall view of how it works.

I hope to get in format to publish here shortly perhaps it will help shed some light on your search as well. I can tell you that I am impressed with the quality and function of the Pac-Brake at this point.

Nice high quality and well engineered product.

Re:E-brakes

One thing to keep in mind is if you ever plan on bombing. When I bought my truck I didnt even know about bombing. I have the jacobs brake but if I would do it different, I would go with the pac brake. You can then go with a full four inch exhaust, and a bigger turbo. I am limited to what I can do with the jacobs. If you dont plan on going crazy, the jacobs has given me no probs whatsoever.

The Jacobs brake for the 2003 is for a 4" exhaust. :P Don't know about retro'ing on a Gen2.
Bob

You can get the Pacbrake for the gen 2's in either 3 or 4 inch.

Re:E-brakes

I've run the BD brake and turbo to tip 4" exhaust now for about 5 months and love it. Nice sound, brake works awesome. No complaints.

Re:E-brakes

I went with the mopar/jacobs e-brake just to ensure no warranty hangups. I have been impressed by its performance and the install wasnt bad either! Only took an hour and a half .
