Well, I removed my resonator and muffler and installed the new muffler. I figured it would sound louder since I was removing 2 muffling devices and replacing with 1. I was wrong!! :'( I don't think it sounds any different than before. I'll have to let someone else drive it while I stand on the curb to listen if it sounds any better than before. What a waste of $$$. I should have bought the Genos muffler elimination kit since it cost about the same and many of you on here said it was louder than before. Oh well, live and learn..<br><br>Maybe I need to pull it off and hollow it out..Hmmmm.... [undecided]

 

Maybe it is a little louder after-all. I started it up and at idle, standing by the tailpipe, I can tell that it is a louder than the stock exhaust. I can't really tell if it's louder under acceleration though. Now my problem is that I want a nice chrome turndown on the tailpipe but the tailpipe looks like crap and is discolored. I hate to waste money on a nice tip when you can still see the old discolored tailpipe. Anybody have any ideas????? I was thinking about sanding the tailpipe and painting it black.

 

It may be louder than you think, I have the Geno's ME kit and i can barely tell a difference from the drivers seat &amp; the windows up. If i crack the window I can hear it pretty well but still not nearly as loud as being outside.

 

Should have saved money and done straight pipe! ;D

 

I tried straight pipe first. It is just too loud for me! :'( :'(
