Dyno'ed today..Got it right.

Hey all -

Well, I think I got the right combination of parts now..After spending much $$$, trying various injectors, turbos, etc, I have hit on the type of power I wanted..

I wanted my truck to spool right now, with a hard hit right from the get go. I wanted 0-60 power, not towing or top end power..And I have it..See sig for details..

It dyno'ed 397.3 Hp, and 933.3 Ft Lb torque. When corrected for altitude and various other factors I know nothing about, It dyno'ed 470 HP and 1003 Ft Lb torque..On level 9..

It drives like a stocker, is very smoke controllable, yet accelerates like a 'vette. Its a lot of fun to drive..

Many thanks to Rick Harvey, Don M. for some awesome injectors, Rod @ Wildcat, Scotty, and Harry @ Piers for an outstanding turbo..This little 35 hybrid does manage to keep EGT's reasonable, while allowing instant spool..

OK...Done Bombing...

That is what I told him last night over the phone! He has been taking lessons from Joe Donnelly.. Good for a while and then something happens to the power ....need a little more..

Congrats Bart on the numbers and thanks for allowing me to do the work to get it to this point!

Do you have some 0-60 #'s yet?
I would be very curious to see how it runs.
Good luck

Hello
Great numbers.
Question What is a Mad ECM?
I have a 01 HO 6speed with Don's 2.5 a EZ and The TST PM3 and a Schied 35/40 turbo. 4:10 gears with 315 BFGs and am using a BHAF and 4 inch straight piped. I am running 423 Hp and just shine of 900 Ft LBs torque. I like your numbers better but the South Bend Clutch might not I think it is rated for 450 at the flywheel. I have the TST turned off most of the time, unless I am playing with some one or if I want to share with a deserving idiot some Diesel number 2.
Problem I have is I can not shift fast enough
and I can put out a pretty good smoke cloud almost as good as a 12 valver. I had DDII in her but switched to a set of Don's injectors, I have more power but still alot of smoke. I bought them when I returned from Iraq.
Take care.
Chris

Chris,
Follow this THREAD. It is a discussion of the MAD E.C.M. You will have to scroll down towards the middle of the first page to get the answer.

Now that it is where I wanted it powerwise, I'm starting to enjoy playing with it..

As for 0-60 times, take a little off of whatever a cadillac escalade will run..Thats been the only chance I've had to pace someone..The look on his face was priceless. He paid all that money for an suv with horsepower..or so he thought. He wouldn't even look over at me at the next light, but his wife did..BTW, those escalades sound pretty good when their revving..

I'd guess a 0-60 of 5 1/2 seconds or so..its pretty quick. The MAD ECM has alot to do with that.

Great truck..I'll keep it.

Fellows...

I got to drive this truck Sunday afternoon with his motorcycle trailer in tow. WOW...I was very impressed with the change in the fueling.
The truck was set on level 3 on his TST box which is where is stays most of the time. Off idle the truck pulls hard all the way thru. There is no lag as far as you waiting for the ECM to let the fuel go..its there right now. It can be as aggressive as you want it to be. Pulling a trailer or loaded this is great improvement.
I drove the truck after we did all the BOMBs and I thought then it was a fine running truck but now with this MAD ECM its a whole new driving experience.
