Dual 4" Exhuast???
Dual 4" Exhuast???
I really want to run dual exhaust, but I cant run stack (although, that would be awesome!!!) because my shell.
I found a dual system and I was wondering if having dual is better or worse than a single. ???
Thanks,
Sam

Re:Dual 4" Exhuast???
You can go to a Turbo-back exhaust for less than that amount. I got a 4" turbo-back with a Magnaflow straight through muff for 425.00. That was 2 yrs ago. They are plenty cheaper now.

Re:Dual 4" Exhuast???
I'm not sure the duals would be needed for better performance but on mine I y-d off behind the rear axle. Came off with 3" out of my 4" system then installed 22" X 5" chrome extentions. Smoke out both sides, ;D I can hear the sound better also. 8) One problem :P I had was getting by the spare. Just mounted the tire in the bed.

Re:Dual 4" Exhuast???
I had a 4" single system and just installed DPP's dual exhaust (dual tailpipes) I can't notice any power difference, but the sound is awsome, blowing twin clouds of smoke is insane and the look of 2 5" stainless tips tucked under the back is sic.

Re:Dual 4" Exhuast???
I have done my fair share of design, fabrication and welding.
I'm thinking take two 4" pipes and cut them diagonally. From the mid point at the end and out towards the sides. Do it say over 2.5-3.5 ft of length then weld the two together. So the 4" downpipe would slowly blend into to 4" pipes which would go to a twin inlet/outlet4" perferated core muffler. Either that or twin round 4". The oval with twin tubes would consume less space. From the muffler outlets I will start at 4" and work up to five. CONE engineering would be a good place for long 4-5 (or even bigger if you want) pollished stainless tips. The whole point of good exhaust is to have low restriction and slowly increase tubing size. Going from a single four into a dual 4 beats OE but on a dyno a single 5 might do better. You can go larger than 5 inch but do it gradually to maintain velocity in the pipes then you will see gains.
