DSS Wow
DSS Wow
Anybody wondering if you should do the DSS upgrade on your 2nd Gen trucks?

I recently replaced my track bar and and drag link ball joint and still found my truck difficult to steer straight. I did both of these two years, 44,000 miles, ago with the Moog problem solver units. Lifetime warranty on the Moog pieces so used them again. I may regret that I did not do the 3rd Gen track bar upgrade at this time. On the bright side I got to know the front end of my truck again.
The DSS is easy to install. Went for a test drive and the truck has never steered this good. Driving my truck is fun again!
Thanks to Solid Steel for a quality product and taking the time to answer my questions when I ordered. Also thanks to this forum and those who contribute and recommend these products.

My DSS should be here at the end of december I hope its all its cracked up too be. My steering is no were near bad I dont have the major major slop some and with the new steering gear I want to protect that investment with better steering too boot
I've put the DSS on some trucks and can only suggest using it. If you drive more than 100 mph the diffeence is unbelievable.
The best combo IMO is either a luke's link or a 3rd gen trackbar with the DSS- takes all lateral slop out of the front axle system.
Add good shocks and you'll be all smiles. (OK camber/caster/toein etc should be adjusted to proper values too and balljoints etc in working order do help tremendeously)
