Figured I would update my part of this thread

Finally put on the DSS this weekend...pretty painless to install, and MAN, does it work! My truck's not a weeble-wobble any more (that's what my brother called it when he drove it) My steering is still a bit loose, but it doesn't wander anymore. The feel is A LOT more solid when you hit a bump, and it doesn't try to jerk the wheel out of your hands...and with the 19.5's, that's a MAJOR plus!!

Next on the list is a 3:1 PSC steering box, and Borgeson Shaft! If you don't like the way your truck steers, START with a DSS!

Glad you like it Demon... That powder coat is resilant to the gravel and salt around these parts. A little tweak to the steering box pre-load and its like you are in a car, well exept for the ride...LOL.

both our trucks have DSS and 03 conversions with adjustable track bars. one has 40k miles and the other has about 230k on them. Works greaT the 40k mile wanders now but thats ball joints somewhere I think. great product and gets rid of that death wobble

Money well spent to reinforce a design suceptably to high wear & tear!

I put the same kit on mine about 6 months and love it. we got it for my brother but he didnt think it helped that much, but wen he traded the truck in we took it off and he could hardly keep it on the road. I thoucht mine was still in good shape but now its great.
