Drop in Fuel Mileage

??? Ok, can someone explain to me why my fuel mileage dropped? I will try to explain what I had done. After I had a power Puck and 4" exhaust installed my in town and short trip mileage went from 16-17 up to about 18mpg. Towing 11K went up from 10.3 to 13mpg. Now I put a scotty II on and in town and short trip mileage went up again to between 20 and 21 ;D . Highway mileage after the Scotty II jumpted to 23-24 ;D All these figures are from Odometer and Computer and when I keeping my foot out of it. Now for the sad part, as you know it come with a HY35 turbo and I had a HX35 put on to go with the air box to drop pyro temps and it did, but if I run 70mph on the interstate w/CC the mileage has dropped bact to about 19.5mpg. In town and short trips it has dropped to 17.5 :'( . The guy who installed the turbo and owns a turbo shop says he don't understand why the drop.
I did change my fuel filter and that didn't make a difference. Also the wastegate on the turbo is blocked off. Would that have anything to do with it. Don't get me wrong, I'm satisfied with the performance, cause it really scoots ;D
Any ideas from the pro's???

Re:Drop in Fuel Mileage

Don't have an answer but have a simular problem. After putting my 4" exhaust system on my mileage dropped 1+mpg no matter how easy I drive. Checked and change everything I could think of. So far no luck. If I figure it out I will E-mail you. If you find out something I would like to know what it was.

Re:Drop in Fuel Mileage

Sounds like when you changed turbos you now have a drop In cruseing boost which Is common when switching to a bigger exhaust housing that your hx has.WOT boost may be higher but running down the highway may be lower.Try adjusting your boost pressure higher.

BoyTurbo, I don't know how high I should go. I have no trouble hitting 32lbs of Boost. Might could go higher, just haven't tried it.
Thanks
