I sent my comp back to edge for repair and i've been thinking about getting it converted to a drag while its there. I've read some other threads on this and i've gathered that it fuels hard all the way to redline but nothing on how much harder it is on truck components? The 2700rpm defuel must be there for a reason? Is it much harder on the tranny or the VP44? if so i might just keep it a regular comp... Also i'm curious about upgrading my HY35, what does a better turbo cost? i'm not interested in huge HP, just want to be able to run the comp up higher and run some bigger injectors 100hp at the most i think. What would a good turbo be for my application ?

I'd guess the 2700 defuel is meant to keep the valves from floating since people have reported valve float at 3000 rpms with enough boost. I know nothing, just my guess.
