Clean the turbo or not? Intercooler or not?

When I deleted the EGR cooler and junk I discovered that I had a small leak and when I pulled the air hose off the turbo for the CAI, I found a small puddle of oily fluid in the bottom of it and the mouth of the turbo.

Perhaps I'm being a little OCD here, but should I pull the turbo and clean it out? What about the intercooler?

I have not pulled the airhorn off and checked it or the boost tube yet. I think I'll must likly pop for the GDP horn and GH Delete, but that may be a couple months away.

Thanks Gang!

The oily mess is from the CCV venting to the suction side of the compressor. Unless you're going to do the CCV delete, I'd just wipe it clean at every oil change and call it good. You could pull everything apart like you mentioned, however it would just be for not until you delete the CCV as it will continue to slowly accumulate.
When I'm ready to delete I'll also delete the CCV to prevent the oily vapor from continually entering the compressor...

Sorry I didn't say this, but the CCV is "outa there!", as umpires say. I did wipe off the little bit of the turbo mouth I could get to, but I wasn't too sure how much might have gotten on through.

with what we have done to yours J, we could probably clean that thing up and see what comes out. now your CCV is re-routed like we have it, that should cure anything getting into the intercooler in the future. we can do that when we install the new charge air boots. GIT R DUN!
