Dr. Performance Pumps
Dr. Performance Pumps
Hi, guys,
Anybody know if Dr. Perf. has just one level of "turned up" pump, or do they do it in stages? Yes, I know Dr. Perf. is not well-liked on many of the boards
. I'm looking at a used '94 12V with a Dr. Perf. pump already installed - the guy told me it's "turned up quite a bit", but I'm not sure if that means it's up to, say, a 215 pump equivalent or maybe higher or what? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

For the best answer, I'd go right to the horse's mouth:

The horses mouth?
I have seen a DR P pump in person disassembled. It was a roached mess. The diagnosis was the front and rear cam bearings were shot from junk being left in the pump. The cam lobes did not fair too well either. Apparently they left some components in the pump that should be taken out before modification
A little machining had taken place in the pump.
