The topic says it all, are the rear dually fenders more wider on 3rd gen than 2nd gen? Or is there more room for tires on 3rd gen? Or is it the opposite?

Can someone measure the fender width for me? I have never seen 3rd gen dually.

I just measured mine and I have approx 61cm/24" wide rear fenders with the 2" flares. I have 4cm/1.6" space between the tires and inner fender/bed.

My tires currently are 285/75 R16 BFG A/T's.

Anyway, I think that Mega Cab dually fenders has less room than 2nd gen.
But how about quad/regular cab?

Just worried about our law for sticking tires, tires tread can't stick out at all , it's illegal to stick out here and the fender flares max width is 2" per side.

However, the sidewall can stick out, but not the tread.

I'm going to use 3rd gen dually wheels and 2" spacer between the duals, tires are 37x12.5 R17. Still waiting for those to arrive...

Some guy said that his inner dual 12.5" tire rubbed on the shackles on his 3rd gen dually without half inch spacer!
But I think there's no need for that on 2nd gen?

And I'm going to custom widening those rims to 7-8" wide, so I have somekind change to fit those tires better inside the wheel well. Maybe?

Any facts/thoughts?
