dodge half track

anyone know who sells on road track kits for the rear axle. would be cats meeyow to drive around-really make truck stand out.

Do a google search for a company called Mattracks. I don't know if they are still around but they used to make something similar to what you are looking for.

30,000K is the cheap set. I called them one day just for S&G they went all the way up to $60,000+ with suspension and steering asist.

A couple problems with the half track concept.
Ratio between front tires and rear tracks would make it impossible to use 4x4 mode.
They are pretty rough on the road. Off road they are mostly smoother than tires. I got to ride in one of their test trucks about 3 or 4 years back when my brother picked up a set of ATV tracks.

Owners and family are nice people. They had the camp slots next to us at a state park this summer.

Another problem is that the traction from the tracks in the back would overpower the steering especially in mud and snow and push the truck forward a little problem of understeer.
