Question do I need water/methonal or not

on my 95 dodge it is being built just for pulling. I have large injector, pump work, I just put a 66mm charger that was built by river city turbo, from a 3rd gen and put it on this truck. Is water/meth worth putting on this truck? I am aloud to have it in my association. I didnt know if I would benifit from it since I really have plenty of air now.

If you have a lot of fuel the small kits will not help you enough to justify spending the money on them.

i have two friends both have 2005 cummins same milage and same upgrades. the only difference is one has water meth and the other doesnt. the one with water meth dynod 9 more hp but the egts were about 50 degrees cooler. i had it and there was no difference in anything but quicker spool up and now my head gasket is weak. i sold the kit and personally think its a waste unless you have it on a 2000hp sled puller. but thats my own personal experience with it for 2 years. so what do i know. oh and a good friend of mine owns a diesel shop and they say to stay away from it as well.

I would put in larger nozzles on the methanol/water set-up if your only getting 6hp and a drop of 50 egt's. I'm getting around 40rwhp with my set-up. If you just pulling I would build my own kit. You just need a hoobs pressure switch to start the spray going after that its easy. Most this stuff is off Agro sprayer equipment, so its easy stuff to find. As for the pump, there is a pressure relief on the pump that you adjust up/down the pressure as required. I would keep adding spray until you feel the truck starting to bucking. With a high HP truck you could run lots of spray (lots of nozzles, high volume pump required). I run windshield fluid and spike it with extra methanol, but my truck just tow pig not a high HP junkie ride,

Nothing wrong with the coolmist kit and its a pretty decent kit. I run stage 2. The controller works pretty good.

i used the red nozzle the blue nozzle and whatever the other color was and i even tried dual nozzles my spray pattern was fine i had the smaller pump. and i tried a bunch of different settings i tried setting it at 15psi for the starting spray and 40 for full throttle then i was told i might be setting it to start to early so i bumped it to start spraying at 25 and max spray at 40 and no difference. so what about my 3rd gen friends that have the same set up but one with water meth and dyno almost the same? does anyone have a video of there truck running with water meth then again without. i have one on youtube my user name is powermad2001 and the only difference was spool up. i still was able to take egts to 1400 on a short pull and that was with the water turned up with dual nozzles. maybe we just got bad kits but i want to see some first hand video of someone running it and showing there egt drop or there dyno numbers. thanks for telling me its still in my sig i will fix that now.

I just put two to three jugs of windshield fluid in mine today. You can see the pyro dropping as it kicks in. I'm just running a 325ml single nozzle. Mines at 15 in and all in at 50psi. If the truck bucks, increase intial pressure. Are you towing? The truck needs more spray to cool when towing I have found, but just empty my setting are different. You can feel the truck just wanting to accelerate faster than without. I just use mine for passing. I have it set-up to kickin when my foot just hits the floor. I'm impressed so far. I found that best power occurs on low fuel modes than higher modes. I just put on 5000 miles on mine. I might have used about 8 to 10 gallons of windshield fluid. I can get around a gallon windshield to tank of diesel. My fuel mileage has also improved by 1 mpg. I might have too much time on my hands.
