Do I have the wrong gauge?

I have a mechanical fp gauge from autometer but I only picked up 15 psi max guage and I just realized this. I know some people see higher than that at idle. I guess I am only concered with it when it gets down below 10 such as wide open throtle runs. Should I take the guage back and get a higher one or will it just max itself out and when I drop below 15psi it be accurate?

A 0-15 psi guage is ok with a stock lift pump....but with your FASS system you should really have a 0-30 psi guage.

Yup, get a 30psi gauge. That way you can actually read what pressure you have. Anyway, I don't think maxing out a gauge is a good thing to do.

We are talking about a mechanical setup here, and yes its better to not max out a mechanical guage.

I have an Autometer ultra-lite 0-15 psi gauge and just installed a Walbro (similar pressers to a FASS) and don't have any problems with the gauge. It will not peg at 15psi, there is no stop for the needle so it just keeps spinning up to what I would call 18 or 19 psi, almost back to 0psi where there is a stop but not quite. It moves just fine and will drop to about 14psi at WOT so I still believe the gauge is accurate from other posting similar results with walbro pumps.

Now if I could exchange it for a 30 psi gauge I would in a heart beat but if your stuck with what you have I wouldn't spend more money.

Good luck.

I had an auto meter mech. 15psi guage and it was always maxed and I ruined it, You probably want to get the 30 like some are saying.

My 0-15 autometer didn't like running 50 psi. It looked like it was at 0- fully pegged, but now reads 9 sitting on the shelf I ran that guage with a line kit and a carter pump and it worked while I ran that setup. It'd idle above 15 and it was no problem, but a few hours at 50 psi killed it
